Effective Date: September 1, 2025

By engaging the services of Future Forward Essays (“Editor”), you become a Client (“Client”) of Future Forward Essays and agree as follows:

1. Services provided

The Editor agrees to provide professional editing services for the Client’s college application essay(s) as specified in the details of the selected package. The services are strictly for editing and revision. The Editor will not write or create any original content for the Client.

2. Scope of work

The scope of work is defined by the Project Package details, which include:

• The number of essays to be edited.
• The level of editing (e.g., developmental, copyediting, proofreading).
• The number of revision rounds included in the fee.

Any work outside of this agreed-upon scope will be subject to a separate agreement and fee.

3. Fees and payment

The Client agrees to pay the Editor the fee for the services outlined on the Packages page.

• For the Final Polish package, full payment is due upon engagement. For The Complete and App Boost packages, a deposit of 50% is due upon engagement.
• For The Complete and App Boost packages, the remaining balance is due upon the completion of the final revision and before the final version is released to the Client.
• Payments can be made securely online via the Future Forward Essays website.

4. Timeline

The Editor will complete the first round of edits within five (5) business days of receiving the essay draft in digital form and deposit. For packages that include second or subsequent drafts, the Client must provide revisions and submit a new draft within ten (10) business days. Subsequent and final Editor revisions will be completed within five (5) business days of receiving materials from the Client. All deadlines are contingent upon the Client providing initial materials in a timely manner. Editor is not responsible for missed application submission deadlines due to Client delay.

5. Client responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

• Provide a complete and readable draft of the essay(s) in a digital form.
• Answer questions and provide feedback in a timely fashion, including providing subsequent drafts within ten (10) business days.
• Understand and respect that the Editor is not responsible for the final outcome of a college or scholarship application, including admissions decisions.

6. Confidentiality

The Editor agrees to keep all Client information and essay content strictly confidential. Client essays will not be shared with any third party without express written permission.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time with five (5) days written notice. If the Client terminates the Agreement, any deposit paid is non-refundable. If the Editor terminates the Agreement, a prorated refund for uncompleted services will be issued.

8. Ownership and intellectual property

The Client retains full ownership and intellectual property rights to the final essay. The Editor’s edits and suggestions are the intellectual property of the Editor, but the Client is free to use the final edited version of the essay for its intended purpose.

9. Governing law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
